Dr. Yusri Hazran is a research fellow at the Harry S. Truman Institute for the Advancement of Peace at the Hebrew University. His main area of specialization is the politico-cultural history of the Fertile Crescent. He received his Ph.D. from the Hebrew University in 2007. After completing his doctorate he received a Fulbright Fellowship and spent two years at Harvard University under the supervision of Prof. Roger Owen
Yusri Hazran has published many articles on Lebanon and minorities in the Fertile Crescent. His first book, The Druze Community and the Lebanese State: Between Resistance and Reconciliation was published on 2014. Currently, he is completing a second book on the topic of Israel's strategy to create an alliance with ethnic and religious minorities in the Arab Middle East.
