The Department of Islamic and Middle East Studies offers advanced students interested in Ph.D. studies varied specializations in a wide range of periods, regions and issues relating to Islam and the Middle East from the seventh century up to the twenty-first, from religious thought through social and cultural history up to modern politics. The Department’s faculty is composed of the leading scholars in Israel and in the world.
